[Coco] Sort of OT: Recapping

 Again, thanks to all for the continued feedback.

After some research on flux removers, I found that people used acetone, as that found in nail polish remover. I used a soft toothbrush, got it wet, shook off the excess acetone and started to brush away. The process was slow, but that was OK with me. I wasn't in a hurry and I definitely did not want to brush too hard.

I am just now reading these comments, so I didn't know I could use Q-tips. Gene, thanks for your idea. I will keep it in mind for the next time.

Finally, the moment of truth: I hooked everything up and powered up. Lo and behold the MB logo came up followed by the BIOS messages. I am happy! My wife is now testing this computer by watching an instructional video on f... f... well, *that* site that ends with "book". Yeah, not my favorite, but it serves a purpose

For flux removal, nothing in my looooooong experience beats plain old 
hardware store, paint shelf aisle, acetone and Q-tips. But don't ever 
reuse the Q-tip, cuz that will contaminate the acetone, ditch it in the 
round can under the bench and get another to wet and go after some more 
flux, its not like they are expensive.  Get your q-tips from the 
pharmacy, brand Sherwood Medical, one ended wooden sticks about 7 or 8" 
long, gives you a long enough handle to do it right. Somewhere around a 
tenner for 1000 of them in paper bags of 100, 10 bags to the carton. No 
ignition sources around the open can, or the waste can as its quite 
inflammable.
