I am not sure if you understood my first reply to you which is still below.

If those instructions were not good enough, maybe if you gave your 
location, maybe there is a list member in your city that can give you 
local assistance.

1. I gave you a list of what you need to do the backup and restore of 
your current Windows 7 installation.

2. I gave you a link of step by step on how to back up your system and 
then after you replace the drive to restore it.

3. I gave you some suggestions to try out on separate Windows 10 system, 
such as at a store demo system, or a local friend's system to see if you 
could make Windows 10 suit your needs.

Windows 7 should currently install.  I have heard of some people having 
issues with Windows update on a "new" install, not a restore, where it 
is taking an extremely long time to update the machine on Windows 7.

But you should be able to do a backup and restore with out having to do 
a re-installation of Windows 7.   I did not have any problems when I did 
it a few years ago.
