I'll take your word for it, Mark. I've not made much use of the B&B stuff
since I replaced the controller and a 30 meg rll seacrate drive with
Tony's scsi setup with a 120 meg maxtor. The os would ask for the next
sector of the FAT, and that controller (2 of them over several years)
would happily hand os9 a blank sector THAT WASN'T BLANK ON THE DISK! You
can well imagine the "merryment" that ensued.
That was the original black sandwich XT-RTC. A gold one I bought later
still works fine.
