I use EZus Data recovery, Recuva64, and VueSCan64 when I lost a bunch
of videos on a SD chip. Unfortunately, none are free even thou they
claim to be. They'll find you missing files, but you must pay up to
retrieve them 8-/. Sounds like it is worth it to you. I am sure you
know NOT to use those drives for anything until you have tried to
recover your data.
