[Coco] Once more: TRIM YOUR POSTS

 Hi Spencer!

Specifically in this case, "trim your posts" means to include the bare minimum of text of previous replies. For example, here I snipped all the text that does not pertain to my response.

It is important because in the case of lists, the accumulation of text can become a burden for the communication and storage resources of the server that hosts the list. Also, this list can either be received through individual emails where each email is one post, or through a digest which is one large email that contains all the posts for a given period of time or number of posts. If all the text from previous responses is included, those who read through the digest will be looking at a majority of text from previous responses (posts), even struggling to find the newest responses. We wish our insanity to come from resolving CoCo issues, not because we have to wade to tons of "old" text to find the latest information. :-) Salvador

Exactly what do you mean "TRIM YOUR POSTS?"

Why is "TRIM YOUR POSTS" so important?  Isn't this a forum of sharing?
