There was a relocatable monitor in Motorola's 6809 manual.

I have some relocatable keyboard and display routines in a file from
college days, somewhere, which might be useful for reference, if you're
interested.

(If I only had time, I'd have already put them together with a Forth
interpreter, for a bit more than a monitor.)
