I feel your pain with the long drive. I have a summer house in Thunder Bay and a condo in South Carolina. When ever I go on vacation I spend more time driving than vacationing. It's 14-15 hrs to either place from where I live.

Cool, thanks for the tips. Now I just need to decide whether I want to
drive 12.5h from Ottawa or flying. Saving with accommodations might help to
decide that.
