[Coco] re coco 2 and hxc floppy emulator

hello,
 
have two coco 2's (64k) with tandy floppy interfaces (normal dos)
I know the computers, floppy interfaces and cables are fine tested with 3.5" floppy drives.
when interfacing with hxc floppy interface (rev c latest firmware)  I get I/o error (tries to read 0 to 17 tracks a few times then stops) has anyone tried to use this set up ? regards john davis
