Also as far as software.
MikeyTerm, GregETerm, and Ultimaterm all work with this pak using RSDOS
Xcom9 works with OS9

So pin 4 is used to enable the modems carrier.
Pin. 2 is TxD
Pin. 3 is Rxd

The rs232 pak only uses 9 of the 25 pins on the pak connector
Pin 1. Ground
Pin 2. Transmit data
Pin 3. Receive data
Pin 4. Request to send
Pin 5. Clear to send
Pin 6. Data set ready
Pin 7. Signal ground
Pin 8. Carrier detect
Pin 20. Data terminal ready
