Like I said he knows his retro stuff.   He fixed my super rare TI99/4a expansion interface as well as my PET 4032, PET 2001, and just recently my Apple II plus.

I think that may have been the part number for the socket, not for the chip itself.  Here is what I see for the chip itself:

The GIME chip is label IC6 on the CoCo 3 system board.
