We lost our Radio-Shacks years ago in Canada.
I was sad to see them go.

I hate to say it but I too have seen HIGHER prices at the RS store in my local area. I basically have stopped going into RS now because I can get parts cheaper on the internet like 10 AA cell holders for like $8 on eBay but RS will sell one for $3 - $4.00 for one. Gouging is one reason they're going under, and just NOT having a good business model to compete with online shopping. THIS is what's happening to other major retailers. They better change or be out the door in the not too distant future.

I went to our local Radio Shack "going out for business" sale last weekend,
and left with nothing after seeing the appalling prices. 20% off of a $120
BB-8 when the same toy sells at Target for $79 is not exactly evidence of a
fire sale, more that they plan on gouging as many fools as possible as they
go down in flames. Circuit Writer pen that sells elsewhere for $14 was $20
at the Shack.
