This had worked correctly in the past yes.

So something has changed to cause it not to work.

I believe Darren Atkison was using to test something for me on a CoCo 1
that has a 6309.  I also at one time had it running on my CoCo 2 that I
have a 6309 in, but sadly I don't have that disk image currently.
