If you would be interested in doing some work for hire with that machine:
I'll have need of some timing belt covers to keep the swarf out of the
belts & pulleys for my bigger lathe at some point on down the road.
Built to withstand every day knocks, 3/16" thick walls, possibly half a
pound of ABS per unit, max 3.5" on the big ends and some north of an
inch thick, 8" length estimate internally. If I can give more accurate
dimensions so its easy to draw up in a cad program, PM me with a *SWAG
cost estimate please.
All negotiable of course. If you can feed its hot end with pellets, they
are about 10% of the cost of spooled plastic. But I'd be surprised to
find such a printhead on a sub $1000 machine.
It sounds as if your machine could do both at the same time, but they
would not be exactly identical.
*SWAG=Scientific Wild Assed Guess. :)
