Another alternative is to use a so-called "tweener" PC. Basically an older PC (486 or older Pentium class) that has a floppy controller capable of double density drive support (360K 5.25 inch drives and 720k 3.5 inch drives), an ethernet adapter and an older version of windows (I forget which version dropped 360k support, but I've used windows 95 on mine in the past) and an image writer utility (.dsk images and image writer utilities can be found at http://www.colorcomputerarchive.com/ ). I forget which software I used for the image utility but I do recall I used the command prompt to use it (not a gui program).

I have only seen usb 3 1/2 drives. You would have to make your own 5 1/4 usb drive and would have to use an external power for it. I have made lots of disks for my Tandy 1000 but they do not all seem to want to read. It's really hit and miss. The SDC is the only reliable way I have found to make physical disk's from. Dsk images for my coco

Drivewire is good option. Cloud9tech.com has cables.
