I would like to add that most of the information John Mark lists in his message is optional -- no need to catalog your CoCo collection just to come to CoCoFEST!

Subject: [Coco] Preregister for the CoCoFEST!

When newcomers arrive at the CoCoFEST, Glenside would like to get their
name, address, city, state, zip, phone, and email address.

Bob Swoger thinks you should be able to provide this in advance so as to
speed up registration.  So he asked me to send a message to that effect.
You can send the information to Randy Weaver if you like.  However it may be
too last-minute to make any difference.

Randy Weaver is moving the database to SQL and adding new fields.  The hope
is that individuals will be able to login to the database over a web
interface and view and update their own information.
You will have the ability to check off:
* whether or not you want the club to send you
     * email,
     * newsletters (either via email or snail mail or not at all),
     * phone calls,
     * or snail mail
* whether or not to make your email address public on the Glenside website
We would like to gather:
* the serial numbers of people's CoCos,
* a list of programming languages you know,
* if you have PCB layout experience,
* if you have 3D printer experience,
* what operating systems you use for the CoCo/TRS-80,
* what CoCo modifications you have,
* what kind of joysticks you have, and such.
Then we can publish all kinds of information about the various CoCo systems
that are out there.  For example, we could answer the question, "How many
CoCo 2's with true lower case capability are out there?"  Then we could see
if someone will write software for this system.  We could also try to answer
the question, "How many CoCos of each model (1, 2, or 3) did Radio Shack
sell?" and whatever other variations of the CoCo were out there (such as for
other languages, TV output modes, etc).
