It'll be interesting to see the *speed*. 10Mbs and fully buffered
communication link seems double fine. It will provide for some (possibly)
scary fast transfers, much like SD or IDE(ATA), where to coco bus is the
bottleneck. I guess my project is similar to ATA over ethernet, the basis
to modern-day SAN storage.
At least it'll provide a code example in 6809 asm. It shouldn't be too
hard to duplicate the same mechanism in UDP/IP.
My code should give somebody a nice jumping off point to a 6809 library
(that you add to your own project) to do simple UDP/IP/ARP/DHCP.
OS9 has no common interface for networking :( Maybe there was something
layed out for os68k?
