As long there is no use of active-x controls, it should work even under w10, from w7 on active-x is not supported.

I am running RainbowIDE on a WinXP system. I've no idea how it will work with 
more recent versions of Windows. However, as you can download a trial version 
for free, you can try it on your system.
Other members of this list also use RainbowIDE, so they can report on which 
version of Windows they use.
