Do you have the original HxC that requires a computer to be connected to 
the emulator?  Their newer model with the SD card does handle disk images 
directly and supports writes to the image.

Yes, it behaves similarly to the SD card HxC from Lotharek, but with a USB 
stick for storage.  The price is right, however.  I picked up a couple on 
eBay for $18 each.  Jeff sells the HxC flash image for 10 euros each. 
Still a bargain.
