Mark, you're welcome to join in on the VCC project. We really need more people. I just handle the page (no programming). There are 2 programmers working on it, both AWOL at the moment for "life reasons"

Subject: [Coco] Profiling emulator?
Hi all,Here's a long shot. I'm looking for a Coco3 emulator that does profiling on emulated code; does anyone know if such a beast exists? I've pretty much only ever used MAME/MESS for Coco emulation...What I need specifically is a tool that allows me to see what percentage of run-time is spent in each of the routines. The idea would be to run the software for a few minutes, and then (eg on exit) have the emulator display a list of subroutine calls and metrics on the total number of times each was called, and how many cycles in total was spent in each.FTR I've been told that the Altirra Atari emulator has rather comprehensive profiling built-in.Alternatively, and more likely, what would be a good (open source) candidate for me to add profiling functionality to? Ordinarily I would have a crack at MAME/MESS but getting that functionality accepted into the official build would be... an arduous task. So, what about VCC? I wouldn't want to go to the effort of adding the functionality and not have it available for other - and myself - in the future? And I'm also open to suggestions on other means to achieve the same results?Regards,-- | Mark McDougall | "Retro Gamers do it| <http://retroports.blogspot.com.au> | with 8 bits!"-- Coco mailing listCoco at maltedmedia.comhttps://pairlist5.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/coco
