Do not use the yellow Chicago Taxis. They will charge extra when they leave the City of Chicago.

Instead use American Taxi. We use them every time we get in after a trip. 

If it is still there, you will find a billboard advertising them on the baggage carrousels. Or look for the kiosk near the exits. Or simply search for them online to get a phone number.

On average (guesstimate), the Yellow cabs will charge you anywhere from $40 to $60 to the hotel while the American taxi will charge from $30 to $50.

Make sure you have the hotel's address with you :-).
