I am following this docs
PLEASE READ, IMPORTANT ISNSTALLION NOTES
This beta version of VCC adds support for the "Becker" interface, which can be used to communicate between the emulated CoCo and the outside world via a TCP socket. A common application for this interface is connecting with a DriveWire 4 server.
With this starter kit, most "options" in DriveWire4 and Vcc are configured for you. The only oeration left for the user to do, other than run the programs, is to "mount" the vhd images into Vcc & DW4
If you already have DriveWire4 installed, you can "uncheck" the DW4 installation so you will not overwrite the previous installation or have dual installations, though it will not hurt anything.
When using a previous DW4 installation, if you were running with a "real" Coco, then you will have to reconfigure DW4. Just run DW4 and click "Config" then "Simple Config Wizard". On the 2nd panel, click the "Emulator or other TCP/IP" (bottom right) and then click "Next" until finished. All other options are left at their defaults.
This Vcc setup requires 2 vhd images to be mounted. One in Vcc's "native" HD 0 slot, and the other in DW4's Drive 0 slot. Vcc will not run either of these vhd's any other way.
The reason for 2 startup drives, is that in NitrOS9, it will give you Vcc's "native HD 0 as your "/DD" drive and DW4's Drive 0 as a "Config" drive containing all files from the repo neded to create boots for all Dragon and Coco machines and emulators.
Run DriveWire4 (or rerun to reset it if you ran the Wizard) and right click on the first slot, "Drive 0", navigate to your "Documents/VHD Images", select "DW 4 X0 Vcc 6309 Boot 03-16-2014.vhd" and hit <OK>
Now run Vcc, click "Cartridge/HD Drive 0" and again, navigate to the "Documents" folder. There you will find a folder, "VHD Images", select "Vcc H0 NitrOS-9 6309 DD Drive 0 03-16-2014.vhd" and hit <OK>
In Vcc, Hit [F9] twice to "cold start" the emulator. The Coco 3/HDBDos menu should appear on your screen. You will have about 30 seconds to select befor it will "autostart" NitrOS-9
Further Notes:
You will find configuration options for this interface on the BitBanger tab of the config dialog.
If you are running DriveWire on the same computer that you run Vcc, enter 127.0.0.1 as the server IP address and 65504 as the TCP port. This will match the settings used by the simple configuration wizard in DW4 if you choose "emulator" as your platform and leave the other settings at their defaults. You can also connect to a server on another computer or even at another location by specifiying it's IP address and port.
HDBDOS for DW ROMs are included in this installation and can be found in the same directory you installed Vcc to. These can be used in VCC by selecting FD-502 config from the Cartridge menu, and then choosing "External ROM Image" in the top lefthand Dos Image selection, and then use the Browse button in the lower right to choose the HDBDOS ROM image. A hard reset is required when changing these options.
To use the Becker interface with NitrOS9, download any of the disks with names ending in "becker" from http://www.nitros9.org/latest/
