I considered that, but I just want these to be simple, drop in alternatives
to a real ECB or CB ROM. And your boards are there if someone wants
more features. I found a source for a large number of very cheap
once-programmable 27128s that should go perfectly with this.
Yes, the cap is probably unnecessary, but I bought a full reel of these for just
a couple of bucks, and a little extra decoupling won’t hurt.
