Stephen, MShell doesn't 'replace' the shell... it just doesn't use it :-)
MShell works most like any software... you just invoke it from the cmd line i.e. 'mshell&,ENTER>' And yes, the ampersand is needed as that releases the current shell so you can return and use it later while MShell runs in another window.
The link to the MShell site is:

And a link to the youtube MShell demonstration video is (aso linked on the site):

To get MShell istalled, you just copy all files to your system to the same directories as on the disk image i.e CMDS to /dd/CMDS - SYS to /DD/SYS.
I've been meaning to write an installer, but really just haven't had time lately as I have a lot of Coco projects going, especially with the addition of the VCC project, and here lately, I end up spending my evening in bars and clubs... actually, I run sound for live bands :-)

to move files from ANY OS9 formated file system (disk, HD, dsk, VHD, img etc),
to and from ANY RSDOS file system (disk, HD partition, dsk, VHD partition), and
to and from the DW4 server's PC host's drive (the PC hard drive).

Hi
Bill,
This sounds very interesting to me, thanks!
Where do I go to obtain a
copy of your code, along with instructions for how to get MShell installed into
NitrOS-9 instead of the shell that I normally see when I boot up? I’m sure that
I’ll have to copy MShell onto a NitrOS-9 disk, into the proper directory, and
I’ll probably need to change the boot script (or whatever the list of commands
run during boot is called) to invoke MShell instead of the shell I normally
see.
Thanks very much for your attention.
