It occurs to me that some people may be thinking this board + controller is somehow capable of re-writing the 512K EEPROM. I had a note on my site page about the EEPROM Pak that the chips cannot be flashed from the board but I added another notice above the YouTube links on my external controller page....
"PLEASE NOTE!! This does not have the capability to re-flash the 128K/256K/512K EEPROM chips! The Multi-Bank builder tool will build the .ROM file for you, but you will need to use your own EEPROM programmer to re-flash the chips. The FT-232 adapter is for reprogramming the external controller only, which is needed for different EEPROM chip program layouts or other customization's by the user."
I hope this helps to explain what's going on with the hardware.

Sure thing. Basically, it’s a EEPROM Pak that can be remote-controlled from the optional controller, which gives it the added ability to PAUSE the CoCo and load large .BIN files from EEPROM banks in addition to the standard 8K/16K/32K .ROM/.CCC files. I have updated my site with current photos and links to both youtube videos can be found on the page about the controller.

Chad, I need to watch your video. I am not exactly sure what your product does, but as I read these posts I get more interested in it. If this is something I believe I can use in my wild experiments, I'll be purchasing one from you too (assembled, as I don't have the skill or patience to solder SMT components). I just need to understand the different prices to select the configuration that I need. Even if I don't use it, this is an important part of the CoCo legacy and and definitely would like to have one. Salvador
