Hi Joe,
I'm definitely an audiophile, but I have not been able to obtain anything of that caliber yet. I have an ear for the really nice well rounded sound excellent equipment can produce. Yeah, I've been spoiled by a friend who does have that kind of audio equipment. He found some old coaxial Altec Lansing speakers if memory serves from a sound studio that was doing some revamping of their equipment and he snatched them up for his home stereo system in his basement. He runs a very nice looking Rotel amp also. I don't know anything about Rotel though. I do know that when he turns the system up and plays the Titanic sound track, Star Wars or anything of that nature in his basement, he can shake, rattle and roll the 2nd floor of his home! I wonder what his wife thinks every time he does it. He really loves that stuff! :)
