NitrOS-9 does not load drives, the emulator in question "loads" drives and then 
NitrOS-9 or Basic reads the attached drives. Now it happens that the VCC 
emulator site has a hard drive intended for use with that emulator. It has some 
version of NitrOS-9 already installed on the .vhd drive.

When you start VCC, click on Cartridge in the menubar. You will see that there 
is an option for attaching a hard drive image. When using a .vhd hard drive, you 
will also want to click on FD-502 Config and make sure that RGB Dos is selected.
