Bill "Disk Edtasm" is an RSDOS application and cannot be used with Nitros9. Nitros9 and RSDOS are NOT compatible in any way, including disk format.
Nitros9 comes with it's own assemblers, "Asm" being the simplest. "RMA" being (probably) the most complex.
Neither have their own "built in" editor like Edtasm. You must use and external text editor to write/edit you sources the assemble them with the assembelr.
The instructions for both assemblers are in the OS9 manuals.
Asm is in the OS9 L1 manual and RMA is in the OS9 L2 (Tech Referrence?) manual. The are also some good articles in Rainbow on both assemblers.
I suggest, if you're going to try to use OS9, do some research. The books "Rainbow Complete Guide to OS9" and "Rainbow Complete Guide to OS9 Level 2" and ALL the OS9 manuals.
OS9/NitrOS9 is in no way similar to RSDOS and is confussing with some initial research.
The NitrOS9 manuals (NitrOS9 Wiki) are basically the same as the OS9 manuals. The Nitros9 manual just reflect some of the name and cmd syntax changes that have been made through the years.
Most of the questions (except the DW ones) are answered there.
