Of course. Just like everything else boots (RS-DOS, etc.) because CoCoSDC emulates a floppy drive. It boots because of the code that knows how to read/write to the WD1773 floppy controller. That's the magic about CoCoSDC. Anything that ran on floppies would run from it.
