From my experiments last night ... The #244 is what is returned when it tries to read sectors that are not in the file. By default, SDC-DOS makes a 156K file. OS-9 writes out whatever it takes to format, but the rest of the file does not exist so anything that seeks past the end of the file returns #244. I used dEd to verify this.

I need a way to expand the file from OS-9. Sadly, my BASIC09 and assembly attempts have not been successful.
