[Coco] Coco2 composite video vs Coco3 video

I used to have a Coco3 and monitor way bad in the 90s, but it's been that
long since I've seen one or used one,

I've just received a Coco3 in the mail today. When I connected the video
out to my video in on my TV, I was shocked at how poor the video quality
is. Obviously, the RGB output would be better, but I don't have any RGB
monitors at the moment.

Just last week, I connected a Coco2 that had a composite video output mod
to the same video input on that same TV. The quality was much better, even
though it was monochrome.

Is this typical for Coco3s, or is it just this particular one that is flaky?
