Stephen, You need to be warned that moving files around on dsk from EmuDsk can trash the image. The program was never really finished unless Walter fixed it. Several people have reported trashed disk images after using it in OS9.
The best way is to just use HDBDOS and BACKUP which will make duplicates just fine. I'm pretty sure all the RODs are 35trk "flippies" as Rainbow kept them "standard" so no special equipment was needed.
Making them in any other format would not be preserving them and EmuDsk would get confused at the double formats on one side and trash the disk.

EmuDisk gives you a choice if you want to use the DECB files or the OS-9 files
on a .dsk.
EmuDisk software downloads at SourceForge.net
http://sourceforge.net/projects/emudisk/
I do not think that Rainbow on Disk ever had 40 Tracks so 35 tracks is all that
is needed to backup.
