I found the original floppy:
OS9 RAMDISK
DIST BY MICROCOM SOFTWARE
(C)1988 DENNIS SKALA
Disk contains
LEV1 - rdisk, rem.dr, r0_512.dd r0_128.dd
LEV2 - rdisk, ram.dr, r0_64.dd r0_128.dd, r0_192.dd, r0_256.rr
dup
“dup” is a backup command that, if I recall, does not require the LSN0 data to match. Maybe just the size? It allowed backing up to the ramdisk.
Unfortunately, using these modules on the current NitrOS9 does not work. The RAM disk, if used like all the other normal RAM disks, is fine. It inizes and deinizes properly, allocating and releasing memory. The rdisk command, though, always produces a RAM disk of 8K. Bummer. The command still flags when you give it a value too large.
