That doesn't fix software that doesn't use ROM routines or the OS-9 keyboard 
code. Better off to have any new keyboard be compatible at the hardware 
level. It's much less work.

As I mentioned before, you don't need a CPLD for a different key layout, 
just patch the EX BASIC ROM code and replace the ROM and replace the 
keyboard driver in OS-9. But I do like the idea of having the original 
layout.
