Yes, clearly I'm the bad guy here! I didn't realize it until I put
on my spats and top hat and took a stroll on the green. As I peered
through my monocle at the Occupy people camped-out on my lawn, it hit
me...how dare I offer a product that clearly only _some_ people want?
I've been terribly insensitive...
But seriously, did you read the blog? Did you checkout the links?
Really, did you? I'll bet(a) you didn't...
Earlier (on Facebook) you asked about a .BIN file. Fahrfall is a
cartridge game. Moreover, it uses the address-dependant clocking mode
and it needs to run from ROM to perform properly. I have no plans
for any new releases of .BIN or .WAV files for Fahrfall. I would say
I'm sorry, but the truth is that using that mode is the main reason
I switched Fahrfall to being a cartridge in the first place!
As for ROM images, physical ROMs, or cartridges made with cases from
other sources...this is the product I am offering now. Anything else
will have to wait. If you don't want what I am offering, then just
don't buy it.
As for additional batches, I have said and I continue to say that the
availability of more packages will depend on the level of interest
expressed. At present, I would think that another batch seems likely.
BUT...I don't know when it will come.
So, for those that _do_ want a Fahrfall cartridge and just can't
wait, then I suggest that you either get yourself (or your agent) to
CoCoFEST! or you get ready for the eBay auction starting next Saturday.
Personally, I want to see more CoCo cartridges available. Homebrew
cartridges are downright common on many other retro platforms,
and I see no reason why we can't have them for the CoCo as well.
Does anyone else want to see that too? I hope so...
John
