[Coco] drivewire 4 with vcc 1.43beta

I used TCP/Emulator in DW4
I used external rom
May be that the rom is not the right one (I used the one from cloud9 site)
[the .wav was working with a real coco2]
I enabled Becker Port in Configuration/Bitbanger of VCC [127.0.0.1:65504]
(same as dw4)
The disk used is one created by right click then "create new disk for drive
0"
In this first step, I only expected to see an empty directory [with DIR]
Just to see if the system was correctly configured and worked
On the status line of VCC there is: "DW: ConOK R:00.0 W:00.0" so it seems
connected
I disabled windows firewall... same result
I checked with "netstat -an" visibly dw4 is listening...
When I try a wrong configuration for becker port in VCC
I get a dw error in the status bar of VCC (expected)
I tried to use the ip of the station 192.168.1.26 in VCC
Visibly if I use port 65504 the status bar of VCC says DW ConOK:
But I dont see any traffic between vcc and drivewire when I try a the 'DIR'
command
(I used wireshark to check the packets)
It's like if VCC was seeing the port on which drivewire is listing
But unable to exchange any data...
I'm convinced that I'm using the wrong rom image

First, did you set DW4 for "TCP/Emulator" in the setup? This must be set and
then use all defaults in the rest (next, next, next, finish). In Vcc, you
must go to "Cartridge"/FD-502 Config" and set "External Rom" and browse to
your HDBDOS rom. Then go to "Configuration/BitBanger" and check "Enable
Becker Port Interface". Make sure the settings are the same as what was set
in DW4.
Second, what type of vhd/dsk are you trying to access?
If it's a dual partition vhd with RSDOS and OS9, then HDBDOS will need the
offset for the partition before it can be recognized. If it's a dsk, then it
should see it right off.
For Vcc/HDBDOS (or RGBDOS) to recognize dual partition VHDs, you must:
POKE&HD938,0 : POKE&HD939,&H5A : POKE&HD93A,0 This is the standard offset
for dual partition VHDs. This can also be done permenatly to HDBDOS by using
a hex editor ad setting those bytes on the ROM image. The locations will
then be $193D, $193E, and $193F, set as $05, $A0, $00
Remember, all settings in DW4 "Simple Config Wizard" are pretty much left at
default for each machine choice. You should not have to change anything but
your machine type and/or your Com port for serial (real Coco).
Here is a short tutorial on DW4, and links to the VCC/DW4 Starter Kit.

Didier,
Try reseting up your Drivewire server. The CoCo2 and CoCo3 use different
speeds. The server has no way of determining which you have, so when you
switch cocos, it'll need to be re-setup.
