[Coco] Help with BASIC

from the docs:
" You are not allowed to erase any part of the active bank (the one
from which SDC-DOS is running)."
Does this mean if we try to over-write our active bank, bad things
happen, or it fails peacefully, if not quietly ?
I don't want the proglet I wrote to brick anyones SDC!
