Thought of that. A design "could" be made act a bus extender which
should add an inch to the CoCo-SDC protrusion but then the bus signals
could be routed up and a card attached that extends into the CoCo
case.
Interfacing a clock chip and even a sound chip like an AY38910 would
be doable.
First step is the bus extender.
I have been looking for a supplier of the 40 way edge connectors.

Doesn’t sound too difficult.
Sound chip, clock chip, some addressing circuitry on a PCB.
Of course you could do this anywhere you can get to the bus.
What about a board that plugs into the cartridge port that allows for
the
SDC board to plug into it? More compact than a Multipack, allowing
a few of the most desired add-ons? Just a thought.
