I think I never implemented lowercase (inverse uppercase really) on that
VDG screen simulation. That's all a leftover from another project (the
nineserver os9 display server you're having trouble with). I will remove
it from the next version and use a more standard dialog for displaying
"About" information.

You can submit a bug report (after trying to open a window using the normal
method you described), this lets me recreate your setup to some degree and
maybe I can figure it out. The /Z stuff got broken in the nightly OS9
builds at one point, that may still be an issue, or it could be something I
broke.
