[Coco] These are used, probably old POSale, by elo, so have a touch screen

Greetings;
This guy appears to have a side business recycling old P.O.S. monitors,
but $65 bucks for a 15" seems like it may be worth looking into, most
assuredly if I was to get one and spend the winter modifying my
joydrv_6551L.sb driver thats in the nitros9 repo to make use of the elo
touch screen, whose output is via the db-9 connector on the monitor. That
is the video cable showing in the pictures, not the touch screen output,
it would plug into the db-9 to the right of the db-15 video driver.
I am currently using an old old 15" crt elo which has the touch screen,
probably burns 300 watts but never got around to actually plugging the
touch screen into my mouse circuit. The touch screen facility is I
believe port powered just like mice are. I could presumably just plug it
in and go searching for the right baud rate as I have zero data for using
the elo touch screen. Some google-foo might supply that however.
I'm going to buy one and see what I get for my $65. If its touch screen
is trashed, it would still make an excellent monitor for my lathe as I
hang a piece of clear lexan glued on the face to protect the screen from
hot swarf. The lexan works well for that, I haven't a burn mark on it
yet. I clean the swarf off with an air hose, and wipe it with a Scotts
"rags in a box" paper wipe, good as new for 2 years now.
Might be able to find something even cheaper, but I am curious about the
touch screen and its potential to be a coco "mouse". Besides, the screen
of the elo's crt is slowly turning burple from old age.
Cheers, Gene Heskett
