That is what I did. I didn't like the way the LED would flash the right 
hand wall on my desk. That was so distracting.

So I pointed it up. I use a FD-502 case so it is black.

I drilled a really fine hole in the FD-502 case just above the LED and 
the light flashes through the hole.

The hole is really small, like a pin head and you can hardly see it but 
when the LED lights, it looks like great.

I also surrounded the LED exterior (inside the FD-502 case) with a black 
drinking straw so no light strayed anywhere but that pinhole.
