[Coco] MESS on Raspberry Pi

Interesting idea using the Rasberry Pi as a CoCo3 but I think I'll
stick with my little $100 Windows netbook laptop.
Sure, it costs a bit more than a Pi (I only paid $100) but then, it
does include it's own screen, keyboard, it's portable, runs 100%
speed, easy to install standard VCC or MESS and runs as a Drivewire
server to my real CoCo (with USB to Serial Adaptor)
So unless I have a lot of time to waste, what advantage do I get
running it on a Pi?
Nick

Hi Bill, and all.
I compiled and installed sdlmess0125 mostly following the
instructions
from Christopher Hawks, with these alterations:
The directories cart cass cfg and roms are in $HOME/mess NOT
$HOME/.mess.
When I try to load a VHD file in the file selector, I need to
navigate
to $HOME/VHD. that's the directory I chose. However, the File
Selector
changes this from /home/pi/VHD to /home/piVHD. I'd call this a bug.
Has
anyone else found this problem?
As you said, Bill, it's a *tad* slow :(
