The old style Tandy store could still work if they were to go back to their
roots. It will still mean closing some stores and finding a few other cost
savings but it can be done.

Here in Australia, we have a chain which continues to expand called Jaycar
Electronics.

They are like Tandy of old and the stores are doing well catering to
hobbyists and electronics industry folks but also to the average public.

They are not a big retailer with huge stores but small stores ussually
outside of the more high rental mall shopping centres.
