The owner of the ftp storage reported that some people were downloading the ENTIRE site and if it was not stopped a password (Perhaps given to Registered Users) would be required.

At that point I stopped giving shortcuts but others have continued to do so.

It was considered that members of this list were not responsible but persons who read the list messages on Gmane may be.

The worse case would be that the Mailing List goes away so it is important that downloads are limited.

It is not a question of pirated software but the volume of traffic. Now that some huge files have been removed, that may also help.

I use the term "dump" as a place where people dump anything and can do so as no one is watching.

The previous dump was closed some years ago:
