Kip, ezgen is very easy to use, though some seem to like kwikgen better. I think kwikgen will deal with extracting and changing the kernel, but I've yet to take the time to really use it.
The PDF manul for ezgen is at:

Hi Bill!
I've been wondering how you have been adding modules to your OS9boot files. I
have a number of modules I need in my OS9boot file as well. Now I can
permanently add them! Whoo-Hoo! I won't have to manually load them anymore! I
love this stuff!

I use ezgen quite often and have created literally over a hundred boots with it
over the last year alone, and have never had one problem.
I believe it would be best to have scbbt and t1 "after" all the screen drivers
and stuff. From the way it sounds, you have it before "VTIO", "KeyDrv", "JoyDrv"
and "SndDrv" which are all subs for SCF and I don't think that would work (??).
I would put them just before "Pipeman" or "clock" if you're not using "pipeman"
ezgen /xx/os9boot
L pipeman (or clock if not using pipeman) i /xx/xxx/modules/scf/t1.dd
i /xx/xxx/modules/scf/scbbt.dr
<enter>
in that order.

The nos96309l2v030300coco3_80d.dsk
does not include the scbbt and T1 modules.
I'd like to add these modules the SIMPLEST way to it's os9boot file.
My research found this:

Have you tried modifying the scripts in the NitrOS-9 distribution rather than
using EZGen? Maybe the problem is with EZGen rather than scbbt and T1.

Is there an easy way to do it, that works?
