If you either Dump or dEd nil.dd, you will see that it is associated with VRN. 
If VRN is in your boot file then you can probably just Load nil.dd and have it 
work. Otherwise you should merge vrn and nil.dd and then load the merged file.

While the above can work with many driver descriptors, it is much better to 
include them in OS9Boot.
