Composite means mixed, Al. The huge advantage to s-video is that because 
its never mixed, it doesn't have to be run through a low pass filter to get 
rid of all the dot crawl, so the luminance signal at the face of the crt is 
2 to 4x sharper than it is when mixed and fed to a monitor that then has to 
use those bandwidth limiting filers to re-separate the 2 signals.  You have 
to see it to believe it, its that amazingly sharp.
