If one uses ADOS or an ADOS patched Disk Basic ROM, one can use 40 track 
disks.

You can change on the fly in ADOS the number of tracks on a disk with a 
short BASIC program that is supplied.

I would usually copy all software from 35 track disks to 40 track disks just 
to gain the extra space.

I rarely traded disks with other Coco users, but if I did it was easy enough 
to configure a 35 track drive.
