Here's a totally brilliant idea that oozes with awesomeness...
Can the single line output (which you channel to the GREEN pin of an
RGB input, be channeled to the READ and BLUE lines under software
control from the CoCo?
This way you can choose the color output to an RGB monitor to set 1 of
8 colors.
And under software, change the channel selection at a scanline level
to create bands of color.
Green test with a yellow status bar at the bottom for example.
Better still (if possible), can the video chip RAM be written to add
color information that would control this output channel selection
circuitry, therefore bypassing CoCo cpu intervention?
Just thinking "out-of-the-box".
