Building rzsz is/was the best test case, But its been yonks since I did
that, and I should unpack that archive to see if all the tricks are in
there. One of the tricks was a then new table driven method of doing the
crc's it uses, and which was good for about a 200 cps speedup. Right now
the coco is shut down as I was out of pocket for the weekend, and it may
take heroic measures to get one of its HD's to spin up again, Stiction,
