If you're sending me questions, don't worry too much about line length. I have a nice word wrap routine for handling such stuff. That being said I'd limit any individual question or answer item to 128 chars.
If people want to understand the movement aspect (which I take from the "Pit With Monsters" game), I would recommend going to the Yahoo MC-10 site, download the emulator, and load up my PM.TXT program.
Basically you can choose to navigate a randomly generated maze by choosing to move left, forward or right. The pictures tell you what is in those directions. If there are stairs, then you go up or down a level. If there is a door, you get a chance to listen before going in. If there is a blank space or a passage you can just move through. "Monsters" and treasures *tend* to be behind doors. In the case of FestQuest, there will be "geeks" and "coco stuff" of various sorts.
I plan to use real names of Coco folks from the 2013 fest. In the Pit with Monster game, the monsters come in various types, and it is useful to recognize how strong they tend to be based on their types (you can choose to run away). In this case I hope to also have some degree of toughness based on the names of geeks. I don't plan to limit myself just to Fest 2013 people, but also use "classic" Coco experts (perhaps from Rainbow magazine authors, etc), who will be particularly tough. Example, "You listen at the door and hear Marty Goodman giving a lecture". The cred you win or lose will very according to the type of geek.
So it's my intention to split questions into two groups: Tough and less tough, which will be roughly indexed to the type of character you meet (Coco expert or regular coco fan). So if you have a sense of the toughness of questions, let me know that too.
I am also data mining various on-line sources (Color basic manual, etc), for questions, so if you know of good sites containing text info relevant, let me know. I'll make the program simple enough that data statements can be add later on to expand the list (within 20k memory limits of the MC-10).
